The Company

ISLAND AVIATION, INC. (formerly A. Soriano Aviation, Inc.) or IAI is the general aviation arm of the A. Soriano Group of Companies, a management and investment company, with interests in mining; agribusiness; insurance; banking and finance; manufacturing; resort development and port management.

IAI came into being on May 1, 2003, as a direct spin-off from the Aviation Department of A. Soriano Corporation (ANSCOR), for which it has been conducting corporate flying for 26 years. The company was reorganized to support the air transport needs of Amanpulo Resort by providing its passengers First Class service and to offer safe means of air transportation to individuals or companies in need of charter services.

We are a registered Air Taxi Operator under the Philippines’ Air Transportation Office Administrative order 135 with an Air Carrier Operating Certificate and hold a Certificate for Public Convenience and Necessity duly issued by the Civil Aeronautics Board.

IAI is currently operating two 19-seater Dornier 228 (Twin-Turbine Powered Propeller Aircraft or Turboprop) to support these requirements. It employs highly skilled maintenance personnel highly trained in Germany on this type of aircraft as well as pilots that are experienced and regularly trained at SIMTEC GmbH in Germany. Our aim is to provide a SAFE and PROFESSIONAL air service to our customers
